The Challenge

Caterpillar Logistics Services (Cat Logistics) receives thousands of visitors every year to its facility in Morton, IL. The Cat Logistics Visitors Center had been using the same introductory video for a decade and it had become outdated and inaccurate. Cat Logistics wanted a new video that reflected key points about people, quality, efficiency and the high velocity of their supply chain services.

How Iona Helped

After listening to the client’s specific messages, Iona recommended, and Cat Logistics chose, a concept that essentially followed a parts order from first contact to final delivery. Iona used a very unique stop motion technique that stitched together thousands of still photos from a product perspective as it moved through the logistics delivery system. The resulting HD video was a combination of high velocity video of the part order traveling through the parts facility and engaging graphic effects that told the story of Cat Logistics’ global impact and superior customer service.
