Caterpillar Challenge
Track-type tractors are the signature “bulldozers” that have been the foundation of the Caterpillar brand and a key component in driving their worldwide growth. This revolutionary machine celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2004. Caterpillar wanted their employees, customers and visitors to better understand the tremendous contribution that track-type tractors have made throughout the world. The Iona Group became a key player in the design and development of a fully interactive and comprehensive exhibit about Cat track-type tractors that is currently prominently on display in the TTT facility in East Peoria, Illinois.
How Iona Helped
Iona researched an extensive library of images, physical assets, video and other media to find examples that best conveyed the desired messages in a dramatic and memorable way. In addition, Iona filmed restored antique equipment in motion to dramatically portray how early TTTs worked employing touchscreen interactives, spin browsers, Surround Sound and other media techniques to make this machine come to life.
Connection Made
More than 7,000 visitors attended the opening day of this exhibit. Every day, visitors experience the product history in ways that are memorable, dramatic and entertaining.
