
Daytona International Speedway Challenge
The home of the Daytona 500, Daytona International Speedway was looking for a new way for loyal race fans to learn about upcoming events and track their favorite race drivers. It was also important to capture user information and usage statistics for future marketing efforts.
How Iona Helped
Iona created a customized screensaver version of its active messaging software, “SaverActives,” for the Speedway. This screensaver displays recent winners at the track, upcoming events, and a button to buy tickets. The user can order customized photos sent directly to their computer based on preferences that they set up during the installation process. Iona also created a SQL database to record the user’s installation data and driver preferences for the Speedway to use for future projects.
Connection Made
Daytona has had thousands of downloads of the screensaver and continues to update its content. Iona designed the screensaver as an extension of the Speedway website in order to maximize usage. Fans are automatically drawn to the look and are captured by the unique capabilities of the software .
