DEFINE

During this phase, Iona works very closely with the client to understand the overall project scope and objectives. We review current documentation, strategic plans and conduct interviews as needed. We develop a mutual understanding with the client about client expectations, schedule and budget. The plan is developed for delivering a successful project and then to make sure that the client and Iona have a mutual understanding of the key components of the project. High-level functional and technical requirements are developed and confirmed with the client.

DESIGN

The Design Phase is where Iona proposes design solutions based on the client’s definition of a successful experience. This phase is focused on designing the key functional and technical components. The design deliverables may include a script or storyboard, concept drawings, flowcharts or node maps for interactives. The client will be able to visualize the end-product and the overall direction for the project. The intent for creating these deliverables is to develop a common view of the end-product and for the activities that will follow. It is vital that the client review and approve the key deliverables from the Design Phase prior to entering the Develop Phase.

DEVELOP

After successful completion and review and approval of the deliverables within the Design Phase, the Develop Phase activities begin. During the Develop Phase, the end-product is built and tested. Training is programmed, audio may be recorded and edited, video is shot and effects added, interactives are designed and built. During the Develop phase testing is conducted; we test the individual pieces and the overall integration of the pieces that are being developed. At the conclusion of the Develop Phase, the end-product is built, tested and ready for final client review and approval.

DELIVER

After successfully building and testing the end product, we focus on how best to implement the solution for the client and the specific project in order to deliver the project to the target audience. By clarifying early in the project how best to accomplish the goals of the project and how best to connect with the target audience, we can deliver value to our clients. We work closely with the client to deliver and implement a successful end-product that meets the agreed-upon expectations from the Define Phase.
